MEET KEVIN 

Kevin McMillan was born in Harlem NYC and at an early age moved to the Bronx.

 

Kevin graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a BS in Business Administration and a MA in Economics. He also played basketball while at S.U.N.Y. Buffalo where he helped to lead his team to the S.U.N.Y. Championship and on to the NCAA tournament. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has done post graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School’s Aresty Institute of Executive Education. He is also a Certified Municipal Official from Rutgers University.

 

Kevin has worked for over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry for such companies as Roche, Eli Lilly, Quintiles, Sanofi, Global Blood Therapeutics, and Pfizer. Kevin has received various awards and achievements during his career but is most proud of being recognized in Paris as a World Champion as being one of the Top 1% of Sales Representatives in the World as well as a United States Champion in 2016, he received while at Sanofi when he finished number 1 in the country. Kevin presently is a Sickle Cell Therapeutic Specialist for Pfizer (formally Global Blood Therapeutics) since 2021 where he took a territory from a ranking of fifty-three to number 1 in the country where received the Premier Award in 2022.

 

Kevin McMillan has over 11 years of experience in the utility industry having worked for Jersey Central Power and Light in areas of Revenue Protection, Customer Relations, Customer Accounting, Energy Services and Marketing where he successfully implemented Commercial and Industrial Energy Management Programs for key accounts such as the Asbury Park Press, Continental Insurance, First Brands, Long Branch Board of Education and other municipalities in Monmouth and Ocean County. He was also part of the JCP&L Speakers Bureau and a member of the Ocean County Energy Council. He was recognized as the top Commercial Sales Representative for Floodlight Installations and Geothermal Heat Pump Sales.

 

Kevin McMillan has served 18 years on the Neptune Township Committee where he has served as Mayor 3 times and waws the 2nd African American Mayor in the history of the township. In 2013 he was a Candidate for the New Jersey State Assembly. Kevin McMillan has served in the capacity as a board member and president for several nonprofit organizations in both the New York and New Jersey Metropolitan area. He was a member of the Neptune Drug Alliance and the League of Municipalities Legislative Committee. Kevin is the former President of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, where he is a lifetime member. Kevin has also served as the former chairperson of the YMCA Black/Hispanic Achievers.

 

Kevin has worked as an adjunct faculty member at Fairleigh Dickinson University where he has served in that capacity for 7 years. Kevin McMillan is a board member for CHHANGE (Center for Holocaust Human Rights and Genocide Education) and is on the Advisory Board for Jazz 4 Prostate Cancer. Kevin is a member of the National Sales Network and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated.

 

Kevin McMillan believes in the mantra “Be All You Can Be, Read!” His favorite author is Sidney Sheldon, and his favorite poem is “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost. Kevin McMillan and his wife Renee reside in Neptune, NJ, and they have three children Shanae, Shannan, and Sean and one granddaughter Elise and grandson Esai.
